ON THE BRIGHT SANDY BEACH deals with the memory of Delfin Guerra and Raúl Garcia Paret, two Cuban contract workers in the GDR who died in Merseburg in 1979. During a visual tour of the city, acoustic fragments from Stasi files, letters and Facebook chats condense into a reflection on forms of remembrance and racist continuities.
